We're here to help you get the most out of Storm Alerts by Zeus.
After creating your account, go to Settings and enable push notifications. You'll be prompted to allow notifications — tap "Allow." Then set your service territory by drawing your coverage area on the map in My Territory. You'll receive push alerts whenever hail is confirmed in your counties.
Make sure notifications are enabled in both the app (Settings → Notifications) and your device settings (Settings → Storm Alerts → Notifications). If you haven't opened the app in a long time, open it once to refresh your push token. Also check that you have at least one county in your service territory.
Go to My Territory → Draw Service Area. Tap the map to place a center pin, then drag the edge to set your radius. The app will automatically subscribe you to all counties within your circle. You can draw multiple areas to cover different regions.
Storm Alerts uses official NWS (National Weather Service) severe thunderstorm warnings and SPC (Storm Prediction Center) Local Storm Reports. Hail reports come from trained spotters, law enforcement, emergency managers, and storm chasers via the NWS LSR feed. Roof impact estimates use county assessor data.
